Melissa Pack

Melissa’s connection to flowers, funny enough, began at birth, when her mother named her “Melissa” which means “honey bee.”

When she was 17 she got her first job as a florist at a tiny flower shop in her hometown of Edmonds, WA. Since then, her love of flowers has grown into a passion for seeking joy, beauty, & healing through floral design.

Clients have described her aesthetic as organic, airy, romantic and whimsical. Her design work is inspired by the way flora naturally occurs and thrives in the wild. She loves how various elements of nature work hand in hand—from the honey bees connecting flower to flower—to the foliage and vines reaching longingly toward the sun—all parts coming together to create beautifully structured chaos.

In 2010, Melissa started her own business in Seattle and has been working in floral design for weddings and events in the greater northwest ever since. She is the Creative Director at Anthera Floral and overseas all event and design work.

Anna Krumpos

Anna grew up running wild with freshly picked dahlias in hand at her childhood home in the PNW. She has a deep appreciation for the beauty of the natural world and is passionate about bringing the sensory experience of nature to others through her work.

She returned to Seattle in 2020 after receiving a BFA in Dance in San Francisco. Through both dance and florals, she draws inspiration from her surroundings and emotions to inform her movement, composition and color palette. She has worked a variety of roles in the floral industry from planting the tiniest seeds to constructing installations that has led to her current role as Floral Studio Manager at Anthera Floral.

Our Flowers and supplies

Anthera Floral sources from both local flower farmers and markets, as well as American and international growers. Interested in using only local and/or seasonal flowers? We’re happy to accommodate!

We also work to minimize waste, use biodegradable and/or reusable mechanics and techniques, and source environmentally friendly supplies as much as possible. We love talking about this philosophy, so feel free to ask us anything!

Flowers for a Cause
